Quality Blog Comments

Hey Bloggers!
Do you know what a quality blog comment is?
Do you know how to create one?
Well, it's basically an average blog comment, but with a lot more detail, writing as well as a greeting and ending to the comment.
Why did we do this you might be asking?

Well, on Tuesdays we have Miss Morgan, our cybersmart teacher from the Uru Manuka cluster.
Last week she gave us an activity to do in groups.
There are three 'groups'/areas that we could choose, if we thought we were up to that.
Here's the link to the Uru Manuka page.

I decided that I was at the 'confident' stage.
I then got into a group of three with Albin and Maddie.
One of us then had to copy and share the slide, in the confident section, to the rest of our group (Albin did this).

Soon after, we were all on it and got straight to work.
Here's the link to the Activity Slide (you'll find the quality blog comments that Maddie, Albin and I did in the slide)
Hopefully the link works.

Well, we did quite good.
We were able to finish this in two sessions.
It was fun and it would probably be good for you to do, too (I don't know if you've already done this before, so 😶).
I would want to do this activity again if I could.

Have you done this before?
If you have, then how did it go?
How many sessions did it take you to get this done in a group?

Thanks for reading!
Please comment!
Anyway,
Bye!

Goal Setting With The Help Of....Who?

Hey Bloggers!
We have been learning about goal setting.
Then out teacher introduced us to a guy called James Clear.
He is a writer, his central question is 'How can we live better?' (he writes about the small changes we can make, for a better outcome of our lives).
We spent about a week focusing on James Clear's writing, how to train your brain and improve mental toughness; and what Grit is....

I'll be talking about the "Seinfeld Strategy".
The Seinfeld Strategy is basically about not breaking the chain, to achieve your goals.
Here's how it works:

You get a red marker and a calendar, cross of the days that you achieved your goal/s
NEVER BREAK THE CHAIN.

Here's the link to James Clear's Article:

Have you ever heard of this before?

Please comment!
Thanks!
Anyway,
Bye!

Rimu's Marshmallow Challenge! (somewhat successful😮😬)

Hey Bloggers!
On Monday we did a marshmallow challenge.
None of us knew why Mrs Rennell was counting pasta sticks until she explained to us that we were going to be doing the marshmallow challenge. Some of us had no idea what she was talking about so we watched a video about the challenge.

You will need:

A team of 2-4

You only have 18 minutes to build a free-standing structure (of course with the marshmallow on top). It may sound easy, but trust me, it's not. My team struggled quite a bit.

Where as most of the other teams were doing quite good.

My team failed.
Here are the results:

Overall, I think it was quite fun and a good experience.
The main thing is that I had fun.
Would you want to try this?
Have you ever done this before?
Comment please!
Thanks,
Bye!
